Faculty of Psychology UIN Jakarta and LPKA Class II Jakarta Sign Cooperation for Education, Research and Community Service

Wednesday, October 2, 2024, the Faculty of Psychology UIN Jakarta and the Jakarta Class II Special Children's Development Institute (LPKA) officially signed a cooperation agreement covering education, research, and community service in psychology. The signing took place at LPKA Class II Jakarta, and representatives of both parties, lecturers, academic staff, and LPKA employees attended.


This cooperation agreement was signed by the Dean of the Faculty of Psychology UIN Jakarta, Dr. Yunita Faela Nisa, M.Psi., Psychologist, and the Head of LPKA Class II Jakarta, Mr. Akhmad Sobirin Soleh, A.Md.IP., SH. This collaboration aims to strengthen collaboration between academics and coaching institutions in improving services and rehabilitation programs for children facing the law.


In her remarks, Dr. Yunita Faela Nisa expressed her hope that this collaboration will positively impact the foster children through psychological interventions, research, and helpful community service activities. "We want to ensure that psychology education and practice can make a real contribution to the coaching and rehabilitation of children in LPKA so they can achieve a better future," said Dr. Yunita.


Meanwhile, Mr. Akhmad Sobirin Soleh expressed his appreciation for this cooperation initiative and emphasized the importance of collaboration with the world of higher education. "With this collaboration, we hope that a more comprehensive approach can be applied in the coaching process so that children can receive effective and targeted psychological assistance," said Akhmad Sobirin.


The scope of this cooperation includes implementing training for LPKA staff, developing psychology-based rehabilitation programs, and conducting joint research that focuses on the psychological aspects of child development. In addition, Faculty of Psychology UIN Jakarta students can conduct field practice and hold community service activities at LPKA.
This collaboration is expected to be the first step in creating a more holistic and sustainable coaching model, providing practical experience for students, and supporting improving service quality at LPKA Class II Jakarta.
