Teater Prof. Dr. Zakiah Daradjat, September 17, 2024 – The Faculty of Psychology at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, in collaboration with the Voluntary Corps (KSR) of the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) at UIN Jakarta, successfully hosted the PSYBLOOD 2024 blood donation event with the theme "Giving Hope in Every Drop." The event, held on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, attracted participation from students, lecturers, staff, and the broader UIN Jakarta academic community.

This event marked a critical moment to foster compassion, where each drop of donated blood symbolizes hope for those in need. The chairperson of PSYBLOOD 2024 stated, "We want to show that a small act like donating blood can have a huge impact on saving lives and giving new hope to many people."

The collaboration between the Faculty of Psychology and KSR PMI UIN Jakarta ran smoothly, with volunteers from among the students and KSR PMI members ensuring the blood donation process was safe and comfortable. Participants underwent initial health checks, and the blood donation process was conducted under strict medical supervision.

In her speech, the Dean of the Faculty of Psychology UIN Jakarta said, "PSYBLOOD is not just a blood donation event, but a real manifestation of the humanitarian values that are an essential part of psychological education and student character development."

PSYBLOOD 2024 also included an educational session about blood donation's physical and psychological benefits. Volunteers from KSR PMI UIN Jakarta explained that regular blood donation benefits the recipient and has positive effects on the donor, such as improving blood circulation and maintaining heart health.

The donors' enthusiasm was evident, with many students arriving early to participate in this humanitarian act. One psychology student participant shared, "This is my first time donating blood, and it feels significant to help others in such a simple way. I hope events like this continue to be held regularly."

With the spirit of collaboration and care, PSYBLOOD 2024 successfully collected bags of blood, which will be distributed through PMI to help those in need.

Through the theme "Giving Hope in Every Drop," the Faculty of Psychology and KSR PMI UIN Jakarta remain committed to organizing social activities that benefit the health and well-being of the broader community.
