The goal of this session was to enhance the librarians' skills and equip them with the tools to effectively use Grammarly in supporting library services.
Held at the Literacy Room of the UIN Jakarta Library Center, the training was attended by all librarians from UIN Jakarta's campus, including those from the Faculty of Psychology. The session was led by experienced instructors proficient in Grammarly. Participants were given in-depth knowledge of Grammarly's features, including grammar checks, spelling corrections, writing style suggestions, and plagiarism detection.
In her opening speech, the Head of the UIN Jakarta Library Center emphasized the importance of improving librarians' writing and editing skills to enhance the quality of library services. “Through this training, we hope that librarians will feel more confident in assisting students and faculty in producing better academic work,” she stated.
One of the participants shared that the training was extremely beneficial, especially in helping librarians better understand how to use English more effectively in academic writing. "Alhamdulillah, with this librarian training, we are now more equipped with Grammarly knowledge, which certainly helps us ensure proper grammar and reduce mistakes when analyzing academic documents we frequently handle," she said.
This training is expected to be a key step in improving the competencies of librarians at UIN Jakarta, particularly in managing academic information more effectively. By leveraging technology like Grammarly, librarians can better support the management of academic literature and provide more efficient library services to the academic community.
