South Tangerang, February 28, 2024 - Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University (UIN) Jakarta continues to demonstrate positive developments in its performance throughout 2024. With various achievements in academics, research, and community service, UIN Jakarta continues to strengthen its position as a globally reputable university that integrates knowledge and Islamic values.

 

In 2024, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta recorded numerous significant achievements that reinforced its status as one of Indonesia’s leading educational institutions. The following is a summary of UIN Jakarta's performance throughout the year:

 

Public Information Disclosure Award

On December 17, 2024, UIN Jakarta was awarded the title of Informative Public Agency in the state university category by the Central Information Commission (KIP) of the Republic of Indonesia. With a score of 97.13, UIN Jakarta ranked among the 35 state universities to receive this distinction. Improvement in UI GreenMetric Ranking

In support of environmental sustainability, UIN Jakarta advanced its position in the 2024 UI GreenMetric rankings, rising from 39th in 2023 to 36th in 2024, and gained 540 points, bringing its total to 7,450. Among State Islamic Religious Higher Education Institutions (PTKIN), UIN Jakarta placed fourth. The Green Campus Task Force Chair, Prof. Dr. Hendrawati, M.Si., appreciated the support of the entire academic community in creating a sustainable and eco-friendly campus.

 

Top Rankings by EduRank

UIN Jakarta also achieved the top position as the best PTKIN in Indonesia according to EduRank 2024. Nationally, it ranked 30th, 653rd in Asia, and 2,181st globally. This ranking was based on research output, non-academic excellence, and alumni influence. International Accreditation by ACQUIN

As part of its internationalization efforts, UIN Jakarta accelerated the international accreditation process for 50 study programs through the quality assurance agency ACQUIN. The visitation took place over five days, from December 9 to 13, 2024, aiming to ensure that education standards meet international criteria. Head of the Quality Assurance Center, Jejen Jaenuddin, M.A., Ph.D., explained that this is part of the university's strategy to enhance quality and global competitiveness.

 

Improved Accreditation of Scientific Journals

In the field of academic publishing, two of UIN Jakarta’s accredited journals saw improved rankings in the national SINTA index in early 2024. “Jurnal Indo-Islamika” rose to SINTA 2, while “Jurnal Komnunity Online” advanced to SINTA 5. Several study programs achieved “Excellent” accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT), underscoring the university's commitment to delivering high-quality education. 

 

Research and Scientific Publications Growth

In research, the number of scientific publications indexed in prestigious international journals increased significantly. Data shows that over 500 UIN Jakarta faculty publications were indexed in Scopus and Web of Science in 2024. The university also actively promoted collaborative research with international universities to strengthen its global academic network.

 

Digital Transformation and Innovation

As part of its educational modernization, UIN Jakarta implemented various digital technologies in its learning processes. The integration of AI-based e-learning systems and the development of academic service applications have significantly improved students’ access to educational resources.

 

Community Engagement and Internationalization

In community service, UIN Jakarta launched several research-based empowerment programs. One of them, “Kampus Berdaya,” supports communities in developing Sharia-based creative economies.
